Mrs. Edith Mae Oliver Love was born on March 29, 2014 in Jacksonville, Florida to Richard Oliver and Lilly Bell Oliver. She attended Duval County Public Schools and graduated from Northwestern High School in 1964. She married Sammie Lee Love Jr. in July of 1966. she was employed by Duval County School Board for 30+ years of service. She was an active member of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a Missionary. She was well known in her community for over 50 years. After she retired from DCPS, she began working for Home Care Advantage off and on for the past 10 years. She also worked for Independent Living R.E.L.I.E.F. Program until her illness. She was predeceased by her husband Sammie Lee Love Jr. and a host of family members. Edith was a very faithful member of the church community until her recent illness. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of their in their time of need. If you needed help she would try and make sure you got the help you needed. She is survived by her daughter Samthea' Love, her son Richard Sr. (Keisha) her grandchildren: Richard Jr., R'Nisha, JaKayla, Nailah, Zarie, Heaven, Nevaeh, Kaleb, and Devontae; her sisters Pleasant Ginn & Dorothy Barrington; Cousins Samuel Butler Sr. (Sue), Melvin Butler Sr. (Debbie), Eunice Butler, Godsister/loving friend: Pasty "Denese" Williams; godchildren Pamela Williams, Patrick (Nikia) Williams, and Randall (Janay) Hampton; Mother In Law: Odessa Love; Sister In Laws: Shirley Furwine, Lauren Hall, Cathy Love, and Sandra Cofer; Brother In Law: Preston Graves and a host of other relatives and friends.
