Doretha M. Johnson

Doretha Mae Benefield Johnson, born April 18, 1932 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Louis and Dorothy Benefield. Doretha attended local schools here in Duval County and was a graduate of Douglas Anderson High School. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late James Johnson, December 19, 1970. Doretha Mae Johnson departed this life November 09, 2013. She leaves to morn her sons, Earnest Davis Sr., Douglas Hogans (Candace), (Al) Alexander Comer, and Merthy Freeman. Other sons, Gus Hogans, and Johnny Johnson (who preceded her in death). Daughter's, Lillian Pitts (Harry - deceased), Joyetta Carson, Brenda Johnson, Brenda Hogans, Wanda Johnson and Phyllis Johnson (who preceeded her in death). One brother Louis Benefield (who preceded her in death). 18 Grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins. Special cousins: Dorothy Johnson and Jackie Harris. She also leaves her Best Friend: Eula Harris, along with other sorrowing friends.
