David Cobb Obituary Life Reflections David Andre Cobb was born on Monday, March 22, 1976 in Jacksonville, Florida to King David Wright and Bessie Mae Cobb. He attended the Duval County Public Schools and graduated from William M. Raines in 1996. He continued his educational journey at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina. David pledged Phi Beta Sigma and graduated from Benedict College on May 20, 2001, earning a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. While attending Benedict College, David played football. David's love for people caused him to become a counsellor in juvenile facilities. He was also employed briefly by the Florida Department of Health as well as a security officer. David was a loving and kindhearted man who would give you the shirt off of his back. He was well-known in the community for his generosity-he felt like he could help the whole world. He attended the Greater Refuge Temple where he received his water baptism in Jesus' Name. His favorite scripture was Psalm 23 and his favorite songs were 'The Goodness of God' by CeCe Winans and 'Thank You For It All' by Marvin Sapp. His hobbies included reading, drawing, and sports. David was preceded in death by his mother, Bessie Mae Cobb; his father, King David Wright; his brother, Robert Sparrow; stepbrother, Gerald Wright; and great uncle, Apostle Dr. Gentle L. Groover Sr. He leaves to cherish loving memories, his daughter: Darlene Nicole Kimble; stepdaughter: Dijani Stogdem; sons: Jamaine (Kequra Dorsey) Cobb, Davion Cobb, and Justin Cobb. Jackson; stepson: Devin Adams; sister, Daydrina (Derrick) Pickens; stepsisters: Charlease Wright; Tarakara (Deatry) Lang; stepbrothers: David Wright, Kavin Wright, and Kyran Wright; grandchildren: Kelsie Cobb, Amina Stogden, Kairo Adams; stepmother: Loretta Wright; nieces, nephews, great aunt, and a host of other relatives and friends.
