Cydell Debra Coston-Mobley

"Pearl of Life"

As the sun reached a record high of 90 degrees on June 12,1954, The Late Shirley Jackson (Hubert) brought forth to present to some and introduce to others, her beautiful pearl, Cydell Debra Coston. Cydell spent her early years growing up in Atlanta, GA before returning to her birthplace. She quickly grew into her character as the spark in the Jackson household. Never one to leave you guessing what was in her heart, Cydell was outspoken and vivacious. As an active youth, Cydell enjoyed playing competitive softball and was quite the pool shark. Cydell lived life vicariously. Often accepting challenges from which others would shy away. Such as her first "Hog" Ride back on the family farm in Bainbridge, GA. However, nothing brought out that "Coston" competitive spirit in Cydell more than fishing. Cydell was an avid fisherman who found peace and tranquility in the sport. Qualities, unknown to her at the time, would prove valuable as life continued.

Cydell harbored a great passion for family and for life, in general. It was only natural that she would find a mate who shared her passion. Cydell graduated high school from Stanton Vocational High School. Later, she married the late Vincent "Baloo" Mobley, Sr. on her birthday in 1975. Cydell was a faithful wife and caretaker for her husband and the three children reared by them. Cydell was employed for 30 years with the Duval County School Board System. She retired from service in 2012. Life, as life would often times do, would bring the irritant of death to her doorstep, but like the clam of the ocean, Cydell would cover the irritant with her own peace and tranquility to protect her household from the fiery darts of those who sought to divide them.

Cydell entered into eternal life on July 18, 2016. Preceding her in eternal rest was her loving mother, Shirley Jackson; her husband, Vincent "Baloo" Mobley, Sr, and her daughter, LaGrata Mobley. She leaves to cherish her memory her father, Hubert Jackson; a devoted and loving daughter, Terri Coston; her cherished son, Vincent Mobley, Jr; her brothers, Kenneth (Sheree) McClendon and Allen McClendon; her aunt, Florence Coston-Patterson; 3 cousins; Torrence (Shirley) Pickney, Rhonda (Kenneth) Ray, Arthur Jefferson, Jr. and Shemech Patterson; 3 grandchildren, Lynn Griffin, Jr., Tiara Griffin, and Jaylen Jenkins; Son in Law Joseph Jenkins, Best Friend Gail Mitchell, devoted God Daughters Monique Carnes, Jobina (Andy) Turner and host of other relatives and admirers.
