Christopher Donovan Mixson Sr., was called home to be with the Lord on June 5, 2015. Christopher was born on December 25, 1991 in Tallahassee, FL. Son of Pastor Jeffrey and Carol Way. Christopher attended the public schools in Jacksonville, FL. During his matriculation through school, he achieved high honors scholastically and athletically. During his 5th grade year, he scored 11th grade Reading level and 12th grade level in Math, which earned him the title of "Student of the Year", receiving honors from The 100 Black Men of Jacksonville. He wrote a book entitled "The Day I Met Bill Cosby", but never published it once be became interested in sports. His sporting career started with The Jaguars Pop Warner Team, and continued with Highlands Middle, and First Coast High School where he played Linebacker and various other positions. He earned his high school diploma and graduated in June 2011. After high school, he continued his education and football career in Minnesota at Fond du Lac College until 2013. Christopher was a kind person with a cheerful spirit. He was a strong man, loving father, wonderful son, and an inspiration to his family and friends. A believer in Jesus Christ, he accepted the Lord into his life at an early age. He was employed as a Roofing Supply Handler with ABC Supply Company. He leaves to cherish his memories, Parents, Pastor Jeffrey and Carol Way, Leonard Mixson, and Felice Bramwell.
