Cecil Johnson

Mr. Cecil L Johnson was born on August 7, 1952, in Jacksonville, Florida, to the late James Johnson and Fannie Lou Kelly. He attended the local school system in Jacksonville, Florida. He was a merchant seaman and a concrete finisher until he retired.

Cecil was a long-time member of Zion Hope Baptist Church. He was well known in his community for playing cards and spending time with his family; especially seeing his great-grands and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents: James Johnson and the late Fannie Lou Kelly; his daughter: Cecilia Hooper; sisters: Jeanette Horton and Carolyn Middleton; and grand daughter: Blessings Tatianna Johnson.

Cecil leaves to cherish his memories, three daughters: Wanda Hooper (Marcus), Princella Smith, and Shaquita Smith; son in-law: Greg (Cecilia); two sons: Cecil Glover (Niamah) and Willie Smith; three sisters: Adell Wright, Eartha Williams (Charles), Chartes Mitchell (Larry); brother: James Johnson ( Mattie); grandchildren: Chrishana Gilford (Trent), James Hansell (Ivory), Jason Collins, Siterial Greathouse, Gregdrika Perkins (Eddie), Sy-nail Glover, Jeremiah Pretlow, Tamari Smith, Willie Smith Jr., Tatiana Smith; great grandchildren: Na'Shana Henry, Taliyah Glover, Keivon Hansell, Jamika Hansell, Jason Collins III, Kalani Pool, E'Laynah Perkins, A'miri Perkins, Alexis Perkins, Kamria Felder, Irionna Felder, Karlos Felder; great great-grandchildren: Naiara McCrae, Kamila Felder; best friend: Anthony Jones; devoted friend: Carla Daniels; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
