Catherine Smiley

Mrs. Catherine Elizabeth Smiley went home to meet the Lord on February 3, 2012. She was born August 3, 1925 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Garfield (Millie) Slaughter. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Smiley was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Henry Smiley Sr ; grand-daughter Victoria Smiley, brothers Garfield Slaughter, Jr & Frank Slaughter and her sister, Nettie Ruth Sapp. She is survived by her her beloved sister, Mrs. Ruth Rush; her children: Henry Smiley, Jr. (Covington, GA); Sirlister (Ann) Smiley; Jerry (Shela) Smiley (Raleigh, NC); Millie (Kelvin) Washington; and Judy (Wendell) Smith; eight grand-children, nine great-grand-children; God-son Arthur Walker, sister-in-laws: Mrs. Mary Slaughter (GA) and Mrs. Lillian Gardner (CA); A Memorial Service will be held February 10th at 11 a.m. at the Riverview Church Of Christ, 2053 Soutel Drive, Jax,.
