Catherine Glover Obituary Ms. Catherine Glover, 63, passed away on July 7, 2022. She was born on September 2, 1958 in Augusta, Georgia to Alonzo Glover and Irene S. Glover. She moved to Jacksonville at a very young age and lived there for the remainder of her life. Catherine graduated from Stanton High School and her professional career consisted of working for Chartwells School Dining Services for more than 15 years. She continued serving students with her warm smile and contagious laugh and made plans to return the upcoming school year. She enjoyed making positive impacts on the lives of students and adults at every school she worked for including A. Phillip Randolph College and Career Academies, Northwestern Middle School, and Sallie B. Mathis Elementary School. Catherine was a loving and devoted mother to 11 children. She is preceded in death by her son Michael and survived by her sons Torrence (Cheyune), Terrence, Gerald, Christopher, and Timothy as well as her daughters Valerie, Dana, Kelly, Shantell and Jasmine. Her children enjoyed and will miss her sense of humor, compassion, resilience, determination, huge hugs, and warm love. She is preceded in death by her father, grandparents, uncles and aunts. She is survived by her mother, brothers Alonzo and Anthony, and a beautiful host of great-grandchildren, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 20th @ 11am at Restlawn Cemeteries and Cremation Gardens.
