Bruce Edward Smith, Sr

Bruce Edward Smith, known a "Buie" was born on September 26, 1961 in Jacksonville, Florida to Alvin Lee Smith, Sr. and Elease Smith. On Saturday, August 6, 2011, God decided that Bruce had fought a good fight so He called him home. He accepted the Lord at an early age and placed his membership at St. Joseph Missionary Baptist Church. Buie loved to fish and cook for others. He was well known for telling jokes. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Shelly Johnson and his nephew, Rodney Morris, Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories, children, Bruce Smith (Celestine), April Smith and Kiara Pitchford; father, Elder Alvin Smith, Sr. (Jean); mother, Dr. Elease Johnson; sisters, Darlene Turner, Claudine Chandler (Emmett) and Esther Winters (David); brothers, Alvin Smith, Jr. (Sheree), Terrence Smith (Lori) and Carl Smith, Sr. (Patrina); special friend Carla Ray; best friend Kim Wilson; Jean Ribault High School Class of 1979 many other relatives and friends.
