Bessie Cobb Obituary Mrs. Bessie Lee Cobb was born on June 27, 1947 in Ashton, SC to Sydney Lawton and Albertha Lawton. She graduated from Walterboro High School (which is now Colleton County High). She met and married Nathaniel Cobb and was gifted 3 beautiful children. She was an active member of Bibleway Holiness Church where she served on the missionary board and was known as "Mother Cobb." She was also an exceptional seamstress, cook, caregiver, and touched the hearts of the many people that crossed her path. She is survived by two of her children, Cynthia Lyles (son-in law, Leroy Lyles) and Latarsha Cobb; her son in spirit, Terry Ingram; her grandchildren, Terry Ingram II and Ceteria Ingram; her siblings, Jackie Lawton (Mardle), Joseph Lawton (Sharon), Alvina Banks, Carolyn Lawton (Earl), Delores Bryant, Marie Brown, and a host of other relatives and friends.
