Bernard Johnson was born on April 3, 1956 in Manhattan, New York to Lafayette Johnson and Lurlene Forest Johnson. He attended Catholic Schools through High School and graduated from Christ the King in 1973. He then furthered his education by attending Hofstra University in Long Island, New York, majoring in Political Science and other majors. Bernard became ill shortly after leaving college and suffering with his illness to the time of his death on June 2, 2014. To the family, it gives us closure to know that his long suffering has come to an end. All who knew Bernard will have fond memories and good thoughts of him. He was special in every way a thoughtful and honest person that you could want in a person. He will truly be missed. He leaves in memory, mother, Lurlene Johnson; father, Lafayette Johnson; brother, Stan Johnson; aunt, Lillie Jean Stone; uncles, Melvin, John and James Forest and Tarlene Stone; a grand host of cousins and friends.
