Barbara Silcox

March 17, 1949 — April 2, 2020

Barbara Silcox Obituary Barbara Ann Silcox passed away on April 2, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Ann was born on March 17,1949 in Jacksonville, Florida and was the only daughter of Lannis and Louise Mock. Being the only girl in a household with three brothers, Ann was predestined to be tough. This was evident as she worked endlessly to provide the best for her children. Ann could take the simplest ingredients and create a masterful meal. She never missed a sporting event, loved the beach, her flowers and the epic television show "Law and Order''. Her home was always immaculate. Many weekends were spent with her family watching movies, while fighting for a spot by the multiple fans used to cool the living room in her home. Honestly, 3038 Phyllis Street holds so many memories that are dear to our hearts and will never be forgotten. As time went on, Ann became "Nana" to ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Her simplistic approach to life has been passed down to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Teach your children right from wrong and love them with every given breath that God gives you. Over the past ten years, Ann spent her time with a man that loved her with his every breath. Troy Stevens stood by her side through the celebrations and challenges that life brings us. He cared and provided for her, unconditionally, from the moment she entered his life until the moment her life ended. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Lannis and Louise Mock, her brothers Charles and Harry Mock, and her grandson Loren "Wesley" Whiddon Jr.. Shes survived by her children Kim Quinton, Wes Whiddon (Angie), Angela Whiddon (Robbie) ,Beverly Williams (Pat). Stepson, Josh Silcox and her brother Mack Mock. Her grandchildren Michael Whiddon, Erica Ware, "Britty Lee" Brittney Crenshaw (Brett), Justine DeGrave(Robbie), Dillon Quinton, Heath Whiddon, Tyler Robison, Seth Whiddon and Walker Whiddon. Her great grandchildren, and Troy Stevens, her lifeline. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be sent to the Wes Whiddon Scholarship at 420 Edson Drive Orange Park, Florida 32073. Anns Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date, due to the unprecedented issue our nation is facing
