Barbara Hansen Obituary Barbara Joan Hansen, 82 of Jacksonville, Florida died on January 17, 2021. She was born on July 15, 1938 to Minnie and Dorrance Cochran of New London. Barbaras parents and her two husbands William Griffin and Donald Hansen departed this life prior to Barbara. During her lifetime she pursued a successful career in finance. Once retired, she actively supported her daughters Susan and Sharon, in their chosen fields of education and nursing by volunteering and working alongside them. She maintained close ties with her stepchildren Christopher and Karen Hansen and their families. She led the family cheering section for her grandsons Christopher, Joseph, Charles, William, Padraic, and Nikolas, in their pursuits. In addition to her daughters and grandsons, she will be missed by her loving sisters Joyce, Gayle, and Debbie, along with her cousins, her many nieces, her nephew and their families. All rest together in faith and love, knowing she has set aside the cares of this world, for a more eternal joy and peace. The family is planning for a memorial gathering later this year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations made be offered in her name to Barbaras favored organization: St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
