Agnes Sherer

Agnes A. Sherer was born in Duval County on January 3, 1924 to the late Leonard and Mamie Jones. She joined the Bethel Baptist Church at an early age. She retired from the Duval County Public School System as a school teacher after 20 years of service. She was also a beautician for many years in Jacksonville, Florida. She was preceded in death by her husband William S. Sherer; son, William S. Sherer, Jr. and daughter Sylvia Dawkins. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Montgomery (Billy) of Charlotte, NC; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and a special friend Thelma Groom.
