Shirley A. Ogden

Shirley Ann Ogden (née Robinson), affectionately known as ShirlAnn, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on March 14, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida, she remained a lifelong resident of the city she loved.

Shirley was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, loyal sister, and faithful friend. She was best known for caring deeply for others, her quiet wisdom, and her unwavering faith. A praying woman with a heart for service, she led by example with grace and strength, touching countless lives through her kindness and devotion to family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James L. Ogden. One of twelve siblings, Shirley is survived by seven loving brothers and sisters, while five siblings preceded her in death.

She leaves behind her children: Karen Ogden, Darryl Ogden, April Ogden, and Schacarra Ogden; and her cherished grandchildren: Vincent Richardson II (Vinnie), Jasmine Garr (her only granddaughter), Brandon Richardson, and Chris Garr.

She also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Ja’khari Rolland, Jy’rie Grant, Capri Garr, who brought her endless joy.

Shirley was deeply loved and will be remembered fondly by a host of extended family and friends.
