Mary Louise Brooks

Mary L Fleming Brooks, 64, passed away on Thursday, June 11,2015 @ Memorial hospital Jacksonville Florida after her valiant fight with stage 4 Pancreatic & Liver Cancer in 2014. Her strong will to live, faith in God, the love of prayers of family and friends and many supporters carried her through 9 months of gruelling chemotherapy. Her signature gift of joy shown through her constant smiling, laughter and joking around will never be forgotten. Mary carefully cared for her family and friends through her delicious cooking. Mrs. Brooks loved to sing, dance, play cards, chat with family and friends and travel just to name a few. Her surviving family members are numerous but mainly includes, husband of 34 years, Arthur Brooks; four children, Melvin Fleming (Keadra), Talita Monroe, Marion Monroe and Darrell Washington; seven grandchildren, Merissa Fleming, Talecia Robinson, Paul Jones, Jr., Jalecia Whitehead, Marlon Harper, Makayla Fleming and Malik Fleming; two great grandchildren; Taron Campbell and Tarence Nesmith; immediate family, eight siblings, Hazel Traylor, Diane Fleming, (late) Deborah Bryant-Fleming, Oswald Jr. (Papa), Ronnie Bulter, Johnny Roger (Jr), Denay and Demerisse Fleming; other family members, Nathaniel Caldwell (Angela), Reginald Smith, Nadine (Andre) Lewis; longtime friends, Dominique Mann, Geneva Brown and Mattie White and a host of nieces, nephews, great grands, a godchild and too many to list and even count.
