George Jordan Jr. Obituary Mr. George Jordan , Jr. was born on December 15, 1939 to the late Mr. George & Katherine Brooks-Jordan, Sr. In Lafayette, Alabama. George was affectionately known to all who knew him as 'Buddy' he was one of 13 children that grew up on the family farm in Roanoke, Alabama. George later moved to Youngstown, Ohio where he went on to graduate from high school while being inspired and encouraged to join the military by his uncle Curtis and aunt Ethel Boatwright. Mr. George Jordan, Jr. enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1958 and served as a Personnel Administrative Chief at Camp LeJune in North Carolina. He served for 20 years as an E7 Vietnam Veteran and later went on to retire in 1978 and moved to Jacksonville, Florida and worked for the City of Jacksonville for 10 years. George enjoyed spending time with family. Especially his children, grandchildren, and his devoted wife the late Mrs. Elaine. He loved fishing, cooking, and vintage vehicle restoration. George was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. George and Katherine Brooks-Jordan, Sr.; loving and devoted wife, Mrs. Elaine Patterson-Jordan; daughter, Cheryl Jordan; sons, George Michael Jordan and Marcus George Jordan; siblings, Lily, Lillian, Harry, Larry, Addie, Grady, and William. Mr. George Jordan, Jr. leaves behind to carry on his legacy 8 children, James Kevin Jordan, George Jordan III(Merry), Charlotte Jordan-Booker, Jarvis Jordan, Anthony Juniper, Angela Shenise Jordan, Angelica Denise Jordan, and Hakeem Jordan; 3 siblings, James (Robin), Gloria Jean Sadler (Aldren), and Charis; 22 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special nieces and devoted caregivers, Kerri Love and Teresa Anderson, a host of nieces, nephews, Joyal Health Care Services and many sorrowing friends Services Visitation Friday April 12, 2024 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM Cleo Williams Burns Memorial Chapel 3031 Moncrief Road Jacksonville, FL 32209 Celebration of Life Friday April 12, 2024 11:00 AM Cleo Williams Burns Memorial Chapel 3031 Moncrief Road Jacksonville, FL 32209
