Emma Jean Farquharson

Emma Farquharson Obituary Mrs. Emma Farquharson was born on December 22, 1950 in Terrell County, Georgia to Olivia Lyles and Solomon Edwards. At an early age she moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she attended school in the Duval County School System. She met and married Leslie Farquharson, Sr. in May of 1988. She was employed by Duval County School Board for 28 years of service. She was also an active member of All People Church of God in Christ as well as True Holiness Church for many years. Mrs. Farquharson passed away on Wednesday morning, September 19, 2018. Emma is survived by her husband, Leslie Farquharson, Sr.; her children Dana Taylor and Leslie Farquharson, Jr.; her brothers and sister, John (Patricia) Lyles, AD Edwards and Irene (Willie) Holmes. She was preceded in death by her sister, Beverly McAllister. She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Emma was known for her sweet spirt and giving heart. She touched the lives of many and her love for people was unmatched. We are thankful for the time God allowed her spend with us, and life lessons she taught will enrich our lives.
