A Time to Be Born

Patricia Ann Gaskin was born December 25, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida to George and (Carrie, now deceased) Gaskin.

A Time to Grow

She attended school in Jacksonville, Florida and later married the late Robert Louis Berrian. She worked for many years in the Duval County Public School System where she later retired.

A Time to Serve

In 1982, her grandmother passed away and the funeral was held at Faust Temple Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of: the late Elder W.F. Faust, Sr; Elder W.F. Faust, Jr.; the late Elder E.C. Taylor; the late Bishop R.L. Dixon; and now, Pastor Dr. Elder Clarence L. Jones Sr., Patricia committed herself to the Lord. Patricia loved the Lord, she was faithful and dedicated. After accepting Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior she was then over the Children’s Church.

She also served on the Usher Board, was a Sunday School teacher and assisted in Vacation Bible School. Then, as a member of District #3, under the leadership of Deacon Paul Holley, Sr., she faithfully devoted her time until the end of her life’s journey.

A Time to Mourn

Patricia was preceded in death by her: mother, Carrie Gaskin; husband, Robert Louis Berrian; and children, El Pasco Berrian, Lynette Berrian-Washington and Clementine Bowels.

Patricia is survived by her: Children, Cynthia Baro-Jackson (Anthony), Robert, Jr., Hermetta Lindsey Berrian, Polly Sewell, Jacquelyn Smith, and Matthew Kohn; Father, George Gaskin, Sr.; Brothers, Gregory, Edward, Donald (Cristol), and George, Jr. (Gwendolyn) Gaskin; Sisters, Leveen Richardson (Vernon), Victoria Young (James) and Audrey Singletary; Sisters-in-law, Betty, Christine and Catherine Berrian; Aunts, Mother Virlee Stewart, Elizabeth Dawson and Juanita Gaskin; Goddaughter, Rachel Gibson; Best friends, Deaconess Sharon Ruth- Hunter and Elmer Jean Woodrow; 21 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and a host of other loving relatives and sorrowing friends.
