Jace Antuan Barr, 39, of Jacksonville Florida went home to be with our Lord and Savior on May 11, 2019 following a brief illness.
Jace was the youngest child born to Rev. Jason Barr, Sr. and Anne Reese Barr.
Jace's birth came as a surprise to his parents as they were, what they considered, past the child bearing age. Jace's birth, though unexpected, brought so much joy to the Barr household. He could be seen at any time being carried around by his brothers, Bryan or Craig.
At the age of two Jace was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and a seizure disorder and was given a life expectancy of four years. Needless to say, Jace defied the odds and lived an additional 35 years.
Jace's parents preceded him in death as well as his three (3) brothers, Rev. Jason A. Barr, Jr., Craig Alan Barr and Bryan Anthony Barr.
His devoted sister and guardian, Gayle Dianne Barr along with nephew, Jason Barr III and sister in law, Kimberly Wadell Barr, both from Pittsburgh, PA, and god sister, Gail Bryant, will cherish his memory.
Jace spent the last 14 years as a resident of Point West Clusters located at 4550 Ricker Rd. The Barr family would like to thank Queen Hicks, Director, Shameka Christian, House Manager, Tecola Harris, Heather Martin, Quanisha Simmons, Jinny Milledge, Claudia Harris, and Jason Campbell, Night Nurse.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of C. L. Page Mortuary, located at 3031 Moncrief Rd, Jacksonville, FL. 32209.
A graveside service is planned for Friday, May 17, 2019 at 11:30AM at Edgewood Cemetery located at 4519 Edgewood Avenue. Veiwing will take place from 11:00AM until the time of service. Elder Ron Shider of The Potter's House International Ministries will officiate the service
